My aim is to create fine stringed instruments from old tonewoods that make every musician's heart beat faster.
I was born on January 31, 1960 in Forchheim/Reuth. I learned the art of violin making from my father Konrad Heffler's family business. In 1960 he opened his own workshop in Franconia.
In 1985 I started my own business and in the first years I mainly focused on refining the surfaces of violins, violas and cellos. Bit by bit I specialized in the field of instrument making in order to be able to manufacture them at the highest level.
My love for detail and perfection is appreciated and praised by musicians from all over the world.
I only use the the best seasoned tonewoods (bosnian maple, bavarian mountain spruce) flamed in different qualities.
My instruments impress through perfectly worked tops and backs, always individually adapted to the nature of the wood.
Of course, my instruments are handmade and also varnished by hand with spirit varnish according to my own recipe.
Try out my violins by yourself!
You will be amazed by the easy playability and the noble, bright sound.
Let yourself be carried away by the full, soft, expressive and balanced tone of my violas!
Convince yourself of the easy playability of my cellos, the assertiveness (e.g. in the piano trio) and the presence right to the back rows of the auditorium!
